The Scott and Holley Ellis family is so honored to be restoring Edgewood’s beautiful Pink House as our Alabama residence. We plan on having it in our family for generations to come. We want to honor the Bridges’ heritage and continue their art projects and philosophies in the community. Our love for Homewood started approx 80 years ago with the marriage of William Ellis to Mary Alice Durham, Scott’s grandmother. They built a home on Malaga Avenue and lived there until 2004. Scott’s father grew up in the house. Scott’s great grandmother grew up on Highlands Ave in the early 1900s, just a block from the old Massey Mansion where Eleanor grew up.

Here are a few newspaper clippings of our family who lived in Homewood from the 1930s-2004. We are happy to be back!
